The ‘Refresh and Reinvent’ retreat in Pakunda, Narayanganj is designed as an escape from the stress of the city — a peaceful, scenic place that also makes room for professional development. Natural and built corridors link a reception and waiting lounge, a multipurpose hall, a restaurant and guest accommodation with pool and pavilion, while boating, fishing, tree trails and meditation spaces thread the outdoors. A lake anchors the scheme: it drives natural drainage, tempers the micro-climate and, with tropical fruit and vegetable planting, seeds a healthy food chain. Structures lift partly off the ground to keep the visual connection with nature, each opening to gathering spaces for exhibitions, fairs and open-air discussion. The project sets out to unfold the mystery between building, water and green in a contemporary way — and to promote a healthier way of living.
