Two garment factory buildings on one site, each stacking cutting, printing, storage and three production floors above a full-footprint ground-level warehouse — with both roofs given over to solar arrays.
The challenge
Fitting 610,600 square feet of factory onto a 164,687-square-foot plot means deep floor plates that still need perimeter daylight and a service yard reaching docks on both blocks.
The approach
The two blocks are set in an L around a central yard, so trucks dock straight into the warehouse level while the production floors above are reached from glazed stair and lift towers at the ends. Timber-toned vertical fins and planted balcony troughs shade the long face, and pergola frames carry photovoltaic panels clear of the roof.
