A small office floor in Banani, Dhaka — worked almost entirely in one pale register, with microcement, cream tile and light ash joinery doing the dividing instead of colour.
The challenge
A modest floor plate had to take reception, open desking, two meeting rooms, a reading lounge and a shower room without the partitions making any of them feel like a cupboard.
The approach
Everything is kept low-contrast and light: a microcement reception counter on a lit recess, timber-topped bench desks, cone pendants on track, ceiling fans and roller blinds on every window. A ladder of ash shelves on black rods turns one wall into a library, and ash-veneer doors and cupboard fronts mark where rooms begin.
