A gold and jewellery showroom — planned so that every wall is either a lit vitrine or flat black, and nothing in the room competes with what is on display.
The challenge
Bullion has to be shown behind glass and still look worth handling, in a narrow retail unit that also has to carry a staff meeting room and a private client area.
The approach
Matt black walls take a grid of brass-framed cases, each lit from within, and the floor is white marble so light bounces back up into the glass. Brass-framed arched screens and full-height mirror stretch the plan, oversized coins sit in lit recesses at the entrance, and ring pendants circle above a cove-lit ceiling.
