A VIP lounge fit-out — a full-height timber louvre screen sets the waiting room apart from the circulation, with a round window cut into the backlit padded wall.
The challenge
A lounge that opens straight off a busy public hall has to feel separate and quiet without being walled off from the daylight and the view beyond it.
The approach
Horizontal timber louvres run floor to ceiling as the lounge’s edge, screening the seating while daylight and movement still read through the gaps. Inside, a round window is set into a backlit panelled wall, deep-buttoned leather seating sits on timber boards, and the polished stone floor outside is banded in dark inlay to mark the threshold.
