An office building squeezed onto a long, narrow roadside plot — planned around two cores that bracket a single open floor plate running the length of the site.
The challenge
Once setbacks and the strip surrendered for road widening are taken off, the buildable area is long and thin — a difficult shape for office floors.
The approach
Three lifts and two stairs are grouped into a pair of cores along the back wall, leaving each floor as a single open run of desks. A coffee shop and the electrical substation occupy the ground floor, with ATMs above, and the entrance is pulled to the wider end where the road turns.
