Landscape
A 218,000-square-foot fabric-dyeing and knitting building for Crony Group beside the Shitalakshya river — its form shaped around a power-grid tower at the site edge.
The brief
Like the other Crony Group buildings, the fabric-dyeing and knitting facility is marked by strong vertical lines; an irregular play of bare brick and glass gives the elevation a sense of movement. The riverside site is crossed by a power grid, with a tower landing at one edge — so the building’s footprint was reshaped to hold safe clearance while still fitting every function. The result is a composite structure tuned to the landscape, with dedicated space for each part of the process and full safety provision.
Scope of work
Architecture and landscape across a 218,085 sft composite facility. 2018.
