The head office of Crony Group in Gulshan 2, Dhaka — a workplace where the concrete shell and the services running above it are left exposed and treated as the finish.
The challenge
Reception, private offices, open desking and a garment sample room all had to share one floor plate under a low soffit already crowded with ducts, trays and cassette units.
The approach
The soffit is painted out black so ducts, trays and perforated returns read as one dark plane, and light drops from it on black domes and track heads. Below, fair-faced concrete panels line the walls, full-height glazing keeps the offices legible, and a single cream reception counter carries the name.
