A garment showroom and office fit-out for Colors & Stitches — sample rails, a meeting room and a lounge held in one shell, under a corrugated steel deck left exposed.
The challenge
The shell came with structural cross-bracing running across the glazed elevation and a metal deck ceiling with no room to hide services, in a space that also had to receive clients.
The approach
Nothing is boxed in: the bracing stays white against the glazing, the ribbed deck reads as the ceiling, and walnut rafts drop only where lighting and cassette units need them. Concrete columns are left bare, dark slate tiles mark the display floor, and raised timber plinths with black steel rails carry the sample garments.
