A denim textile facility for Ananta — a long multi-storey block whose glazing sits behind bands of vertical louvres, with an open steel frame carried above the roofline.
The challenge
A textile plant needs large glazed floor plates for daylight, but glazing at this scale pushes heat straight into the working floors unless something stands in front of it.
The approach
Vertical louvre panels are set in front of the glazing in alternating bays, filtering the sun while leaving the floors bright and the elevation reading as stripes of light and shadow. Solid grey panels mark the entrance and the stair bays, and an open steel frame continues above the parapet over the roof level.
