Seven floors of single-apartment plans on a 2,160 sft plot — the street elevation cut open down its middle by a planted slot that carries light into the deep plan.
The challenge
The plot is narrow and hemmed in on both flanks, so only the street frontage was left to light and ventilate a floor plate of 1,590 sft.
The approach
Two balcony bays project either side of a recessed central void that runs the full height of the facade, planted at every level so air and daylight reach the middle rooms. Timber louvre screens close the balconies against the road, the blind flank wall is punched with narrow vertical slots, and the top floor steps back to a planted terrace.
