VIP LOUNGE

The requirements for airport lounges are always special and if that is for the VIPs, one needs to design it very carefully. Reincarnation was entrusted with renovation of the VIP lounge of 

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, objective was to create a warm and welcoming yet secluded spaces within the lounge. At the entrance we placed a louvered screen to create a corridor like space. Sitting areas were segmented by different layers of floor and cozy arrangements of sofas which were complemented by the texture of the fabrics. The round opening resembles that of an airplane window. We created a composite sitting arrangement surrounding the center column, adorning it using special screens and lighting fittings. We created an interesting pattern on floor using matte carpet and glossy tiles. This variation created visual division and illusion over the apparently flat 2000 sft space. Also, the varied ceiling height created a new dimension over the lounge as did the diffused light.
