Contrast of multiple design themes can still come in harmony, if done right. The Raintree, a boutique hotel in Banani, carries the proof of it. We were the second company to design this project. Our client had liked the glossy retro theme of the bedrooms and we kept them as is. Our challenge was to solve the rest of the hotel, creating harmony between the previous design and ours. Previous theme had glossy materials and contrasting patterns all over. We created seamless transitions to a rustic and more contemporary outlook. The corridors, reception area and all other areas had their own scheme yet all summed together harmoniously. The reception area reflects on a fusion of classic and contemporary design. The huge round shaped contemporary styled chandelier at the reception was custom designed along with most of the other lightings for the project. The top to floor round custom made screen at the reception gives classic notion to the place. The rooftop garden of Raintree seems like an oasis in the concrete jungle. The multiple storied greenery creates layered spaces to offer privacy keeping the view intact. In order to accommodate the swimming pool, we had to replace the overhead water tanks with a pressurized water supply system. Both our client and the guests love the ambience The Raintree hotel offers now.
