Somewhere deep in Sreemongal, our client wanted to build a mosque for the community — and we did. The design signifies a perfect blend of spirituality and contemporary, minimal architecture. An emerald-green dome, closely resembling that of the Masjid an-Nabawi, sits on a rotated square top. The main structure is adorned by fins all around, ensuring the right circulation of air and diffused light, and custom-designed wooden screens recur throughout. A double-height interior gives the humble, peaceful sense proper to a mosque, while a long trail of asymmetrically laid concrete blocks paves the way through the trees to its doors.
